How to use the SMTP email services by your Terminal: (Example using Gmail account)

1. Create a gmail account... I suggest a new one, do not use your everyday email or work gmail.
We only need this for two things, as a messenger from our MT5 terminal and a SMTP provider.
- Also, as you will be required to place your gmail password at MT5 Terminal,
it would be better just to use an isolated email account.

2. If you are using Google ... (duhhh its gmail of course its google), access you're gmail
settings to "turn on" to less secure apps.
- Log in on your gmail, then go here --- (https://www.google.com/settings/security/lesssecureapps)
- Turning this "On" is not advisable, but needed somehow if you want to recieve your terminals notification.
If you want, stay it on "OFF" for the time being. Do it later if all fails.

3. Get your Gmail SMTP Info:
Here it is, I knew you gonna ask me for it anyway:
- The SMTP server should be smtp.gmail.com or smtp.googlemail.com.
Use port 465 with SSL or port 587 or 25 with TLS/STARTTLS.

4. Complete the input parameters for email settings at your MT5 terminal (at TOOLS,Options,Email).

Enter your full Gmail address at the SMTP Server.
(the port should be placed after a colon added on your email address)

Like this...

----------------------------------------------------------------------
SMTP Server: smtp.gmail.com:587
SMTP Log In: (your full Gmail address that you've created)

SMTP Password: (your Gmail password)

From: (your full Gmail address)
To: (whatever email address you want to send the message in)
-------------------------------------------------------------------

4. Reset your MT5 terminal, close and open it again. This will save and initiate the new parameters
that you have just entered.

5. Go to that email box again on your MT5 terminal, Click Test...
A pop up window will appears saying its queue and will instruct you to verify messages on terminal's
Journal.

6. Check your Terminals Journal: (It will take a few seconds for the report to appear, so... wait a bit.)
- If it says simply failed with no other error explanation, try using other port (465, 587, or 25).
- If it says failed with server error... etc., try to turn your Gmail setting to "ON" on access on less
secure apps.
- If it says it was sent, check your recieving email and see if you recieved the test message sent in.

If successfully, you can now use any Indicator Alert on your MT5 that could send email notification.
Don't forget to click that enable button option on sending email notification at your Mt5 Terminal.

Good Luck, hope it works on you.
